Almost half of the people living in rural areas who are aged 18-60 said they don’t work, according to a report launched by World Vision Romania. Some 29% of them don’t have any stable income, whereas 4% are registered as unemployed, reports local Wall-street.ro. Only 5% of Romania’s rural population said they or somebody in the household have their business whereas 22% would like to start their company. Most of them (57%) want to have a business in agriculture, using non-reimbursable EU funds or their savings. editor@romania-insider.com
