Gross electricity production up by 10% in Romania

Romania’s total power production totaled 64,752 GWh last year. It increased by 10.55% compared to 2013. The consumption amounted to 57,627 GWh, according to data published by the Romanian electricity transport company Transelectrica. Romania exported 9,937 GWh of energy in 2014. It was twice the previous year’s export of 4,753 GWh. The imports amounted to 2,811 GWh, a slight increase over the 2,737 GWh imports in 2013. The difference between exports and imports reached 7,125 GWh in 2014. It was 3.5 times higher compared to in 2013. editor@romania-insider.com
