The joint venture of Greek Aktor and Romanian Euroconstruct Trading 98 has won the auction to build the last three kilometers of the Bucharest-Ploiesti highway. The two companies also have to build two interchanges on the Bucharest-Ploiesti highway, at its intersection with Bucharest’s ring road, and Moara Vlasiei, reports local Economica.net. The 70-month contract amounts to EUR 29.2 million (without VAT). The winner will have 4 months to design the project and 18 months to build it. The guarantee period is 4 years. In May this year, Romania’s National Company for Highways (CNADNR) announced that it would pay up to EUR 38 million to complete the Bucharest-Ploiesti highway. editor@romania-insider.com
