German Rochling to invest EUR 9 mln in a factory in Pitesti, Romania

The German group Rochling will invest over EUR 9 million in a plastic car components production factory in Pitesti, Romania, after it initially announced that the location for the new unit was Craiova, according to the company's communications director, Ina Breitsprecher. “Considering future projects of developing the factory in Romania, we decided to finally relocate the investment project from Craiova to Pitesti”, said Ina Breitsprecher. The construction of the factory already started, while the production is planned to start in the second quarter of 2012, when the EUR 9 million first phase investments will end. The group achieves an annual turnover of over EUR 1 billion through two divisions, having 6,000 employees working in 54 locations in 20 countries. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
