German FinMin: Romania must keep debt below 40% of the GDP

Romania has one of the most dynamic growth rates in the European Union, which is noteworthy in such difficult times, said German finance minister Wolfgang Schäuble during a visit to Bucharest yesterday. However, Romania must keep the public debt below 40% of GDP and accelerate investments, including from European funds and by accessing Juncker plan. This is necessary to reduce the development gap compared to other member countries, Schäuble added, reports local Agerpres. He recommended Romania the dual educational model, which is one of the most important educational models in Germany. “Diploma mustn't be only academic. All diplomas must enjoy appreciation, and this diversity can be achieved through dual education,” the German Finance Minister said. Schäuble also said that Germany is the number one trade partner of Romania and noted that trade is increasing and investments are significant.
