German company Henschel GmbH will invest EUR 10 million in building a gearbox factory in Tetarom III industrial park in Jucu, Cluj county. The plant will produce gearboxes for trams, locomotives and subways, and will create over 100 jobs, reports local Wall-street.ro. The factory will be built on a 4-ha plot. The company’s owner Matthias Thomas Henke said the authorities’ support and the collaboration with the Cluj-based Technical University helped him decide to invest there.
