GE wants to recruit 200 Romanians for Budapest R&D center

US group General Electric (GE) has launched a campaign to recruit 200 Romanian IT experts to work at a GE research and development center inaugurated last year in Budapest, following a USD 30 million investment, reports Ziarul Financiar. “At European level, Romania is one of the most attractive markets for investment in technology and outsourcing, with a highly qualified and diverse workforce, competitive costs and a motivating business environment,” said John Ford, director of the GE Digital center in Hungary. Ford explained that GE chose Hungary instead of Romania for opening the R&D center due to the massive presence of GE in Hungary, where the company has almost ten times more employees. In Hungary, “GE owns 12 factories, five R&D centers and three service centers for companies in 13 cities, with more than 10,000 employees," Ford added. editor@romania-insider.com
