Natural gas consumption in Romania totalled 87.08 million MWh in the first nine months of 2014, down by 5.4% compared to the same period the previous year, when the consumption amounted to 92.04 million MWh, according to a report published by the Romanian energy authority ANRE, cited by local Agerpres. The internal gas production covered in September 98.34% of the total consumption. Romania’s top two producers, namely Romgaz and OMV Petrom, covered 95.73% of the consumption.
