Several companies announced their financial results yesterday and the Romanian media was quick to capture them: A&D Pharma, Rompetrol Rafinare, Ranbaxy, Edy International Spedition. Most of them posted positive results, which trigger hopes of growth for the future too. Meanwhile, a new real estate investment was announced: the Electroputere shopping center in Craiova, which will include an Auchan hypermarket and several other retail brands from the portfolio owned by billionaire family Mulliez, writes the local media. The Bucharest - Constanta highway will be finalized in 2011, says the Transport Ministry, while winter tires will become mandatory only in 2011. Meanwhile, study shows one quater of the population borrows money to live and half struggle to pay their monthly bills. The Bucharest Stock Exchange welcomes the first company floating this year: Hidraulica Plopeni enters the market with an IPO set to start today. Also, telecom company RCS & RDS is said to plan opening two new TV stations, after the DigiSport TV stations it already owns.
