French retailer Cora to open store in Galleria shopping center in Galati, Romania

French retailer Cora has recently signed a lease in Galati, where it will open a hypermarket in Galleria shopping center, developed by GTC, according to Wall-Street.ro. Galleria shopping center will be built on a land plot of 3.2 hectares, on Prelungirea Brailei St. Galleria Galati will have a rentable area of ​​28,000 sqm, 1,500 parking places on two underground levels, and could be opened next year, according to information from GTC website. The developer has signed another contract last fall with Cora for a 9,000 sqm hypermarket that will be opened later this year in Galleria mall in Arad. Cora also rented out 7,700 sqm space in City Park Mall shopping center in Constanta, South – East of Romania, with plans to open a hypermarket there. The French group is currently present in Romania with six hypermarkets: Cora Pantelimon, Cora Lujerului, Cora Sun Plaza in Bucharest and Cora Cluj-Napoca, Cora Gold Plaza Baia Mare and Drobeta Turnu Severin in the country.
