French fashion brand Louis Purple plans to open four shops in Romania

French men’s fashion brand Louis Purple plans to open four new stores in Romania this spring. Louis Purple sells men’s suits and shirts produced in Romania, in the city of Botosani, by the Formens factory. The retailer currently has shops in France, in the U.S. (New York), Russia (Moscow and Sankt Petersburg), Czech Republic (Prague), Ireland (Belfast) and Moldova (Chisinau). In Romania, the brand only has a corner in Ego Men’s fashion store in Baneasa Shopping City and a store in the Northern city of Botosani, where the factory is located. French businessman Gerard Losson founded Formens clothing factory in 1999. The unit currently produces some 700,000 suits each year, which makes it one of the top producers in Europe, according to the company’s statements. Formens Botosani had sales of EUR 37 million in 2013, according to official data from the Finance Ministry. The factory had 700 employees. editor@romania-insider.com
