Former Tuborg Romania president takes over as head of Nobel

Hezy Ovadia, the former president of Tuborg Romania, was recently appointed president of Nobel, a dynamic telecom company headquartered in Romania. Nobel carries most of its business in the US and reached a turnover of USD 250 million, in 2015. The company has over 350 employees in 5 countries. Swiss entrepreneur Thomas Knobel founded the company in 1998. He’s also the group’s founder and CEO. “I am proud that Hezy Ovadia, with all his extensive management and leadership experience, is joining Nobel and helping us to globally expand in ways like never before,” said Thomas Knobel. Israeli Hezy Ovadia has more than 22 years of experience in FMCG and has been working in Romania since 2010 when he became president of Tuborg Romania (URBB), the fourth biggest local beer producer. Nobel is one of the most important players in the international phone calls market. It’s also an important player in the B2C (Business to Consumer) sector in the US. The group recently diversified and expanded its field of activity and entered new sectors, including FinTech via Nobel Financial, physical distribution of goods via Nobel Express, and Internet via a close partnership with WowApp. editor@romania-insider.com
