Foreigner takes helm of Howard Johnson hotel after former Romanian GM leave for country manager job with multinational

Daniel Ben-Yehuda, the former General Manager of Ramada Plaza Bucharest & Ramada Bucharest Parc hotels in Bucharest, is the new GM of Howard Johnson Grand Plaza hotel downtown Bucharest. He took over from Sonia Nastase, who left the helm of the hotel earlier this year and who is now Country Business Manager at Nestle Romania. Daniel Ben-Yehuda run the Ramada Plaza and Ramada Bucharest Parc for almost 10 years. Prior to coming to Romania, he was the GM of Sheraton Hotel in Tahiti for two years. He graduated the University of Haifa - Economics Department-Hotel management, in 1994. Sonia Nastase had run the Howard Johnson Grand Plaza Bucharest for the last five years. Prior to that, she was sales and marketing director for the hotel. She also worked as Assistant Director of Sales at the Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest between 1997 and 2003. editor@romania-insider.com
