Car manufacturer Ford Romania produced 20 percent more cars in the first eight months of this year, up to a level of over 5,700 Transit Connect commercial vehicles. However, the car manufacturer didn’t produce any car in August this year, according to the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association (APIA).
Passenger cars sales in the first eight months of this year decreased by over 11 percent, compared to the same period last year, to 60,051 units, according to APIA. In this period, passenger car production in Romania also decreased by 1.5 percent to 201,629 units, compared to 204,709 units produced in the same period in 2010. The export of passenger cars also recorded a year-on-year decrease of 3.5 percent, according to APIA.
