Local investment fund Fondul Proprietatea has asked the nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica to distribute 92% of last year’s net profit as dividends. Last year the producer had a net profit of EUR 33.5 million, up by 13% compared to 2014. The revenues were EUR 389 million. The company’s board of directors proposed to the shareholders to distribute 66.3% of the net profit as dividends, namely EUR 22.2 million. Fondul Proprietatea has asked for the dividends to be increased to EUR 30.8 million. The Romanian state owns 82.49% of the company whereas Fondul Proprietatea has a 9.09% stake. Nuclearelectrica has a market capitalization of almost EUR 360 million. editor@romania-insider.com
