First Le Grenier à Pain franchise to be opened in Bucharest

Emil and Corina Pop, the owners of real-estate developer Eka Investment Group, recently opened in Bucharest the first bakery of the "Le Grenier à Pain" franchise, with an investment worth EUR 0.5 million. "We wanted to open a place for French pastry fans, so we chose "Le Grenier à Pain". The franchise is present in Russia, United Arab Emirates and China," says Corina Pop, who also owns the ‘Only for you’ fashion stores, cited by local Wall-street.ro. The investment amounted to EUR 0.5 million, EUR 250,000 of which was used for specialized equipment. The owners want to open three other bakeries in the capital in 2015. editor@romania-insider.com
