First company in Romania to reduce the number of working days to four

Romanian digital marketing agency WebDigital has decided to reduce the number of working days per week from five to four starting August 2016. The measure will apply until the end of this year. The company’s idea is to improve efficiency. “If we can remove the downtimes and transform them into a benefit, I believe that Monday can be transformed into a day off, which could offer energy and a higher level of productivity for the rest of the week,” said Ionut Munteanu, WebDigital Managing Partner & Trainer, reports local Mediafax. The local agency followed in the footsteps of other companies from abroad that had implemented similar measures. Edinburgh-based Serps Invaders decided to reduce the working days per week to four in 2013. After implementing the measure, the company opened a new office in Barcelona, and attracted new customers such as Gillette, Chanel, and SEAT. editor@romania-insider.com
