Financial Times: Five Romanian companies among fastest-growing in Europe

Five companies in Romania have made it on the list of 1,000 fastest-growing companies in Europe, drawn up by Financial Times. They are Qubiz, Tremend, Qualitance, Bittnet, and Teamnet, all active in the IT sector. The FT1000 lists the 1,000 companies in Europe that have achieved the highest revenue growth rates between 2012 and 2015. Qubiz is the best-ranked Romanian company, at number 184. The IT company, which was founded in 2008, had a revenue growth of 656% between 2012 and 2015, and revenues of EUR 4.37 million in 2015. Moreover, Qubiz had 102 employees in 2015. Romanian software company Tremend is the second local company in the Financial Times list, being ranked 311th. Founded in 2005, the company increased its revenues by 399% between 2012 and 2015, reaching EUR 2.23 million in 2015. It had 55 employees two years ago. Next in the ranking is software and technology company Qualitance, at number 612. The company increased its revenues by 165% from 2012 to 2015, reaching EUR 4.19 million in 2015. Founded in 2007, the company increased its team to 143 employees in 2015. Meanwhile, Romanian IT company Bittnet was ranked 619th, as it saw a revenue growth of 162% from 2012 to 2015. The company registered revenues of EUR 2.24 million in 2015, when it had nine employees. Bittnet was founded in 2007. The fifth Romanian company in the FT1000 list is Teamnet, which saw its revenues go up by 99% between 2012 and 2015. The company is at number 829 in the ranking, with revenues of over EUR 112 million in 2015, and 800 employees. It’s the oldest Romanian company in the ranking, as it was founded in 2001. German food company HelloFresh is the fastest-growing company in Europe, according to the FT1000 list. The company saw a revenue growth of 13,159% between 2012 and 2015, reaching revenues of almost EUR 305 million in 2015. It was founded in 2011 and had 981 employees in 2015. Most of the companies included in the list are from London – 78. Paris is second with 45 companies, followed by Milan with 34, and Berlin with 32.
