The number of complaints in the insurance sector decreased by some 9% year-on-year in the first six months, to over 6,200, according to the Financial Supervisory Authority ASF. Insurance companies Euroins, Astra and City Insurance registered 65.3% of all complaints. A total of 5,889 complaints were submitted by policyholders or injured parties, while 389 came from auto services. With a share of 30.8%, Euroins Romania registered most of the complaints - 1,934, down 9.4% year-on-year, followed by Astra with 1,640 complaints, City Insurance – 525, Uniqa Asigurari – 506 and Omniasig VIG – 459. The next five insurers are Asirom, Carpatica Asig, Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari, Groupama and Generali Romania. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
