Facebook status update for Romania: 8 million users

Facebook recorded 8 million accounts in Romania in mid-March, up 5% over the beginning of 2014, according to Facebrands.ro. The number of Facebook users in Romania increased throughout last year by 8.57%, from 7 million users at the onset of 2014, to 7.6 million at the beginning of 2015 and to 8 million users in March this year. Most Facebook users in Romania are from Bucharest, exceeding 1.6 million. They represent 21.95% of all Facebook users in Romania. The number of Romanian pages created on Facebook increased from 26,785 at the beginning of 2015 to 27,697 in mid-March. editor@romania-insider.com
