About 64% of Romanian medium-sized enterprises expect a turnover increase this year, compared to only 50% of the medium-sized companies in Europe. Consultancy firm EY Romania highlighted the data in a study called “A vision of growth 2015.” In Romania, over 260 companies in the top 300 Romanian companies are medium-sized, which means they have a turnover between EUR 10 - 500 million. Only 20% of the 300 firms are controlled by Romanian entrepreneurs. The development of mid-market companies is essential for Romania’s economy evolution, given that foreign investments have dropped in the last years, said Bogdan Ion, country manager EY Romania. editor@romania-insider.com
