European Central Bank cuts key interest rate to historic minimum of 1%
The European Central Bank (ECB) slashed the key interest rate by 25 basis points to 1 percent. The new rate will come into force on December 14. This is the lowest interest rate ever.

The European Central Bank (ECB) slashed the key interest rate by 25 basis points to 1 percent. The new rate will come into force on December 14. This is the lowest interest rate ever.
The interest rate on the deposit facility will be decreased by 25 basis points to 0.25 percent, with effect from 14 December 2011. The ECB will comment on this recent decision in a briefing later on today (December 8). editor@romania-insider.com
