Eureko Insurance names Alexandru Leondari new chief commercial officer

Eureko Insurance has appointed Alexandru Leondari chief commercial officer for Romania. He will replace Shaun Russell, 43, which held the position since 2008, its three-year mandate ending at the end of this month. Alexandru Leondari graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1996 and, after five years in the pharmaceutical industry, he entered the insurance market. He has previously worked at AIG Life Insurance Romania and, from June 2008, he has been working at Aviva Life Insurance where he was deputy general manager and chief distribution officer. Before coming to Romania, Shaun Russell held several executive positions, for Eureko, in Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria. Eureko in Romania is part of Eureko BV, the group’s main shareholders being Rabobank and Achmea Association. Eureko holds 46 percent of the Romanian health insurance market.
