Erste places Romanian titles under quarantine, due to Greek crisis

Austrian Erste Group’s analysts have placed the Romanian shares under quarantine and have recommended investors to take a neutral approach towards them. This is due to the concern that the Bucharest Stock Exchange could be affected by Greece's problems, reports local Economica.net. The analysts have removed Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea and gas producer Romgaz from Erste’s top 10 most promising shares in Central Eastern Europe. The Romanian shares’ yields remain a favorable argument for this market, but as Greece remains a source of uncertainty, the analysts recommend a lower exposure on Romanian titles in their virtual CEE portfolio. However, the recent gas price liberalization for individuals in Romania could be positive news for OMV Petrom and Romgaz titles, according to Erste Group Research. editor@romania-insider.com
