Environmental projects in romania could get EU funds of EUR 8 bln

Some 139 environmental projects in Romania could receive financing of almost EUR 8 billion through the 2014-2020 Large Infrastructure Operational Programme. Some 110 of these projects are in the water and wastewater infrastructure sector, and require some EUR 7 billion worth of investments, reports local Economica.net. The list also includes 21 projects in the waste infrastructure, totalling almost EUR 572 million. The three projects on monitoring the air quality total EUR 16.2 million whereas the projects on contaminated sites reach EUR 24.7 million.
