The energy consumption in Romania, which was down in Romania last year on the previous, has actually managed to increase since the beginning of this year, by 5.23 percent, compared to the same period of last year. In 2009, Romanian consumers used 8.14 percent less energy than the year before, in line with the contraction of the economy, according to an analysis by AT Grand Consulting. But the energy consumption in Romania is still 4 percent below the level in 2008.
