Enel’s profit goes slightly down in Romania
Italian group Enel recorded a EUR 64 million profit in the first quarter of the year in Romania, down 1.5% year-on-year.

Italian group Enel recorded a EUR 64 million profit in the first quarter of the year in Romania, down 1.5% year-on-year.
It is the profit calculated before deducting interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA).
The company’s revenues went down by 3.6%, to EUR 265 million in the first quarter of this year. By comparison, Enel’s EBITDA profit in the Eastern Europe region, which also includes Russia and Slovakia, dropped by 17.4% in the first quarter, to EUR 233 million. At a group level, the EBITDA profit rose by 0.8% to RON 4.023 billion. Its revenues also increased by 9.8% to EUR 19.9 billion.
