Emerging Europe Monitor: 3.4% GDP growth for Romania in 2015

Romania's GDP will grow by 3.4% in 2015 and by 3.6% in 2016, above estimates of 3.3% and of 3.2%, according to the Emerging Europe Monitor, a monthly publication that is part of Business Monitor International (BMI), cited by local Agerpres. These data suggest that the pace of recovery for the Romanian economy will surpass that of most countries in emerging Europe over the next two years, reads the report. Romania's economic recovery will turn to a more sustainable development in 2015 and 2016 as the country becomes less dependent on exports for growth. Recent data published by the National Institute of Statistics show that Romania's GDP increased yearly by 3.2% in the third quarter of 2014, above the Bloomberg analysts' estimates of 1.4%. editor@romania-insider.com
