Who are we?
Since we launched Romania-Insider.com more than 12 years ago, we have tried to stay true to our mission: to inform the world about Romania through honest, unbiased, independent journalism. Today we are Romania's largest English news portal to the world, read by more than 2 million people each year.
Why a paywall now and how come?
We have tried our best to keep most of our content free so that anyone can read it.
After two years of crisis that have put us and our business model of advertising combined with membership revenue to the test, we have to make some difficult decisions to be able to continue our mission.
We have decided to lock more of our content with a metered paywall solution.
We have already cut most of our costs to keep our most valuable resource: our journalists.
But with our advertising revenues shrinking drastically over the last two years, we are facing an almost impossible mission to continue financing our newsroom costs.
This is why we need you to help us and buy a subscription!
What are the paywall rules for locked content as of now?
This means that as a visitor to the Romania-Insider.com website you will still be able to read a very limited number of articles for free every month and you will be asked to subscribe for a membership if you want to read more articles per month.
