Dafora starts drilling for OMV Petrom and Hunt Oil in Romania

Romanian drilling company Dafora Medias has started to bore the first drilling for American company Hunt Oil in Romania. Dafora started works on the 20 Adjud drilling for OMV Petrom and Hunt Oil, that are working in partnership for this project. Dafora is owned by Romanian Gheorghe Calburean. The drilling is 3,300 meters deep and is serviced by a 350-tonnes installation bought from Germany, according to Dafora. US company Hunt Oil has moved its London office to Bucharest, after having signed a partnership with OMV Petrom on two exploration licenses in Romania in September last year. Oil and gas company Petrom has partnered Hunt Oil Company Romania in jointly exploring the onshore areas Adjud and Urziceni East, according to Petrom. “This partnership is […] the first joint venture for onshore exploration.
