Czech insurance broker Renomia has entered the Romanian market by acquiring a majority stake in the insurance company SRBA Broker de Asigurare. The company will focus on corporate insurance, but will also operate on the retail sector. Renomia is also active in other countries in the region, such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria. The group underwrote gross premiums of EUR 226 million in 2014. It will reach 1,000 employees, following the acquisition of SRBA. editor@romania-insider.com
