Nine customs workers and three civilians have been detained Friday from the Stanca-Costesti custom point, Botosani county, for smuggling products from Ukraine, according to Mediafax newswire. Prosecutors of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism, Suceava Territorial Service, carried out 12 house searches, in Botosani county, to discover a cross-border criminal organization specializing in the crime of smuggling goods from Ukraine.
