The corporate and household loans granted by banks rose by 0.1% in October compared to the previous month, reaching over EUR 48.1 million. The loans in local currency increased by 1%, whereas the credits in foreign currency dropped by 0.9%. The non-government loans went up by 0.3% at the end of October compared to the same month last year. This was due to the growth in the loans in lei, which rose by 16.7% and the 12.3% drop in the loans in foreign currency. The government’s loans increased by 3.7% in October this year compared to September, reaching EUR 19 billion. editor@romania-insider.com
