Construction work volume down by 9.5% in Romania

The volume of construction work decreased by 9.5% in the first 11 months of 2014 year-on-year, according to data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS). Major repair work went down by 19.6%, while maintenance and repair work was down by 10.8% and new construction work also decreased by 6.6% in the same period. The volume of construction work for engineering buildings decreased by 24.4%, while those for the residential and non-residential buildings increased by 35.7%, respectively 11.4%.
