Construction work up in Romania

The construction work volume in Romania went up by 4.7% in May 2015 compared to the same month of 2014, in gross terms, and by 7%, in seasonally adjusted terms. In the first five months of this year, the construction work volume increased by 10.2% (gross) and by 10.8% (seasonally adjusted). Major repairs increased by 18.3%, maintenance work went up by 12.3%, and new construction increased by 7.9%. The residential segment had a 16.9% increase in the first five months, compared to the same period of last year, the non-residential segment increased by 8.2%, and engineering work increased by 9.4%. editor@romania-insider.com
