Construction work goes up by 9% in Romania

The volume of building work increased by 9.4% in the first eleven months of 2015 compared to the same period of the previous year. The capital repair work recorded the highest annual increase, which amounted to 23.5%. The maintenance and the current repair work rose by 14.4% year-on-year, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). The new construction work saw an annual growth of 4.8%. The engineering work rose by 16.7% year-on-year whereas the work on non-residential buildings went up by 3.1%. On the other side, the work on residential buildings dropped by 4.5% year-on-year. editor@romania-insider.com
