Construction work goes up 12% in Romania in April

The volume of construction work increased in April by 12.6% compared to the same month last year, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). Compared to March this year, the construction work rose by 15.3%. In the first four months of the year, the construction volume went up by 3.7% year-on-year. The maintenance and current repair works increased by 19.1%, in the first four months, whereas the capital repair works dropped by 12.2% during this period. The work on engineering construction and residential buildings went up by 8.6%, respectively 5.4%, whereas the work on non-residential buildings decreased by 4.5%. editor@romania-insider.com
