Complaints against Romania's tax agency increase two and a half times

The number of complaints registered at the Tax Agency (ANAF) rose two and a half times last year compared to 2014, according to ANAF. The local business environment is under a considerable pressure from the fiscal inspectors who want to gather more taxes for the national budget, said Luisiana Dobrinescu, a lawyer specializing in tax litigation. Over 21,000 complaints were recorded last year, compared to some 8,800 in 2014. Due to the high number of complaints, the authorities fail to solve them within the term of 45 days stipulated by the Fiscal Code Procedure.
