Big and medium-sized companies in Romania need to equip themselves with cash registers with electronic logs by September 1. Small companies must meet the same obligation by November 1, the Finance Ministry announced on Monday, August 13. The new system aims to reduce tax evasion and provide a fair competition for all retailers. The initial deadlines for implementing cash registers with electronic logs were June 1, 2018 for big and medium companies, and August 1 for small taxpayers. However, the Government issued an emergency ordinance and postponed the implementation deadline with three months.
