12 companies compete to build suspended roundabouts in Bucharest

Twelve companies have submitted offers to widen Bucharest’s Southern bypass and build the Berceni and Oltenita suspended roundabouts. The projects are worth almost RON 400 million (EUR 87 million), report local Ziarul Financiar. Companies were able to submit offers in the Electronic Public Procurement System (SEAP) until August 31. The milestones of this project are the two passages from Berceni and Oltenita, which will be built as suspended roundabouts, according to Romania’s National Company for Road Infrastructure (CNAIR). The project is split into two segments. The first one is worth RON 216.6 million (EUR 47.1 million) whereas the second one has an estimated cost of RON 179.2 million (EUR 39 million). The roundabouts’ design will be made in about six months after signing the contract whereas the actual construction will take 24 months. editor@romania-insider.com
