Chevron ends exploration phase in Romania, assesses shale gas potential

American oil and gas company Chevron has finalized the shale gas activity exploration at Silistea- Pungesti in Northern Romania, two months after drilling at 3,000 meters. The company will use the information it obtained during drilling to assess the potential of the bedding. The search for shale gas has been met in Romania too with discontent by some locals and by environmental activists.
