Central Bank official rate shows more strengthening for EUR
The Romanian currency has further depreciated today and the Romanian Central bank has published a rate of RON 4.35 for an EUR. The US dollar has also strengthened, reaching a record rate of RON 3.56 for a USD.

The Romanian currency has further depreciated today and the Romanian Central Bank has published an exchange rate of RON 4.35 for an EUR. The US dollar has also strengthened, reaching a record rate of RON 3.56 for a USD. Yesterday's BNR rate for an EUR was of RON 4.32. The European currency strengthened despite the fact that the trading during the day showed a comeback, mainly fueled by a Societe Generale report which recommended selling EUR and buying RON, forecasting a target rate of RON 4.2 per EUR. ING Bank has also announced it was expecting a RON 4.3 for EUR rate in the third quarter of the year.
