Car producer pays EUR 10.5 mln to remove bad smell at tire plant in Romania

German car parts producer Continental has invested EUR 10.5 million to remove the odor around its tire factory in Timisoara, western Romania. The company has received in the last year complaints about the unbearable smell around the plant. The German group said that it has launched the first phase of the EUR 10.5 million investment. Continental has conducted pilot tests to find a solution for getting rid of the smell starting December 2013. The company has over 2,300 employees at the Timisoara factory. editor@romania-insider.com
