Car industry, first place among Romanian exports

Automotive exports ranked first among Romanian exports in the first quarter of the year. Their value exceeded EUR 6.1 billion, namely 45% of the total exports that reached EUR 13.3 billion in this period, according to the Economy Ministry. The car industry ranks first also for imports, amounting to over EUR 5.7 billion. Textile and leather industry goods ranked second among exports, with EUR 1.4 billion, representing 10.4% of the total exports. Food products came next, reaching EUR 1.3 billion, namely 9.8% of the exports. Chemical products and plastics ranked fourth, with EUR 1.2 billion. editor@romania-insider.com
