The turnover of the local trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles went up last year by 1.7% compared to 2013. This was due to the increase in the motor vehicle trade (2.4%) and the car part and accessory trade (1.6%), according to data from Romania’s National Institute of Statistics (INS). However, the car repair and maintenance activities decreased by 0.8%, while the trade with motorcycles and motorcycle parts and accessories went down by 0.7%. In December 2014, the total turnover of the local trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles went down by 7.9% over the previous month. editor@romania-insider.com
