The Pipera – Tunari boulevard in the Northern part of Romania’s capital Bucharest will undergo revamping worth some EUR 15 million. Local construction company Delta ACM has won the bid for this contract, according to Mediafax. The Pipera area has become one of the busiest in Bucharest, in recent years, as several office projects were developed in the area. Pipera is also an important residential area, and many of the villas and apartment buildings there were developed just before the crisis. Thus, the Pipera-Tunari boulevard has seen a significant traffic increase. The new investment will cover revamping the road itself, as well as sidewalks, IT networks, water and sewage systems, pedestrian bridges and public lightning. The contract is financed via the Regional Operational program.
