Bucharest might create over 90km of new bike lanes on 60 streets

More than 97 kilometres of bike lanes might be created on 60 streets in Romania’s capital, as well as 78 parking spaces for bikes and 18 rental centres, according to a draft to be discussed during today’s meeting of the General Council of Bucharest, cited by Mediafax The total value of the investment is about EUR 10 million. “The Bucharest City Hall aims to achieve a more extensive network of bicycle trails in the capital city to ensure fluent and safe driving conditions for cyclists, thus estimating to trigger an increase in the number of people who use this means of transport,” reads the document. editor@romania-insider.com
