Bucharest metro operator wants to buy EUR 15 mln of electricity

Bucharest metro operator Metrorex wants to buy electricity for one year, under a contract worth EUR 15.8 million (VAT included). The agreement provides the supply of some 170,000 MWh at medium voltage, between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016, according to Metrorex, reports local Mediafax. The company will finance the acquisition from its budget, subsidies and its income. It will select the supplier through an open tender, based on the lowest price. The deadline to submit bids is May 7. In mid-2014, Metrorex attributed the energy company Electrica Furnizare a EUR 14.15 million contract for electricity supply between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. editor@romania-insider.com
