Bucharest mall hosts Comedy Short Film Festival next year

A new film festival will be organized in Bucharest next year. Plaza Romania shopping center in Bucharest will host the first edition of Comedy Short Film Festival, between February 16 and February 22, 2015. Filmmakers can submit their films for the festival until December 10, 2014. The event will include three sections: the official competition, the competition dedicated to student productions and the animations competition. All films to be screened in the competitive section of the festival will be comedy shorts. In addition, the event will also include an eclectic program with films that will be screened outside the competition. Filmmakers can win one of the three awards of the competition, namely the Best Plaza Comedy Short Film Award – EUR 1,500, Best Student Comedy Short Film Award – EUR 1,000 and Best Animation Comedy Short Film Award – EUR 1,000. All comedy shorts made after January 1, 2000, can enter the competition. The festival will take place at the Movieplex cinema located inside Plaza Romania shopping mall.
