Bucharest gets new maternity following EUR 12 mln investment

Bucharest will have a new maternity following a EUR 12.3 million investment. The unit will be part of the clinical hospital “Polizu”. It will be the only place in Romania’s capital where doctors will be able to perform surgeries on the fetus while still in the womb, reports local Mediafax. The multifunctional surgery room will allow screenings and interactive ways of participation for resident doctors. The clinic will also have an amphitheater equipped with media devices for telemedicine. The project was funded with EU money. editor@romania-insider.com
